Hiking

Lyons Falls

The hiking trails at Mohican State Park can take you to some interesting areas. You can take a trail to follow the Clear Fork of the Mohican River through the gorge to the Pleasant Hill Dam, or perhaps hike the trail that goes to Big Lyons Falls and Little Lyons Falls. The trails can range from relatively flat to more challenging hills.

An excellent source of information that gives individual descriptions of the trails, that can be printed and taken with you when hiking, can be found at the Mohican Trails Club website.

Please remember, the Lyons Falls Trail is closed from sunset to sunrise, and the hiker is required to stay on the designated trail. Parents are encouraged to keep a close eye on their children when hiking this trail.
