Welcome to Mohican State Park

Mohican State Park and the adjacent State Forest are located in the heart of Mohican Country...Ohio's great vacation region.
The park is comprised of 1,110 acres with 5 miles of the scenic Clear Fork Branch of the Mohican River running through it. The recreational opportunities available to the park visitor include fishing, hiking, picnicking, camping, cottages and a resort lodge.
The Mohican Memorial State Forest surrounds the park with 4,795 acres. Hunting, hiking, and bridle trails are available to the forest visitor.
Mohican State Park is located in southern Ashland County bordered by State Routes 3 and 97, close to Loudonville, Ohio. The park can be easily accessed from Interstate 71.

Make Reservations!
The staff here at Mohican State Park highly recommends you make reservations for electric and full hook-up sites from Mid-June to Mid-August. We are extremely popular and have very limited amount of openings during the summer. The non-electric are still first come first serve all year long, we do not take reservations for those.

Mohican Rocks: Loudonville-Mohican CVB has added a new feature to their website
Check out a new feature recently added to the local CVB's website. There are great pictures of the rock formations and outcroppings in the area and at the park. This website has great area information as well. http://www.loudonville-mohican.com/mohicanrocks/index.html

The Emerald Ash Borer Quarantine is still in effect. Please purchase your firewood locally and do not move wood when you leave. Visit the Ohio Department of Agriculture web page or call 1-800-OHIO-EAB for further information.
